Privacy, in plain language.

Apartment Power Guide is a static content site. You do not need an account to read it. The site operator does not maintain customer accounts or a first-party profile tied to your name or email address, and does not sell personal information. The analytics and affiliate systems below still process limited browser and request data.

Google Analytics

The site loads Google Analytics on the canonical HTTPS production site to understand guide readership and affiliate-link activity. Local development and preview hosts do not initialize analytics. Google Analytics uses first-party cookies, including _ga, and pseudonymous identifiers to distinguish browsers and sessions. Google may process the page viewed, session statistics, approximate location, and browser or device information. The site’s explicit page URLs and referrers exclude query strings and fragments.

The site does not currently provide its own analytics consent or opt-out control. You can restrict or clear cookies through browser settings or use Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The site does not intentionally send names, email addresses, account identifiers, or form submissions to Google Analytics.

The router backup worksheet calculates in your browser. A successful calculation records only that the worksheet was used on that guide; device loads, target hours, and results are not sent to analytics or stored by the site.

Affiliate redirect records

Some affiliate links route through first-party /go/ URLs. When a browser follows one from a guide on this site, the server may record the clicked slug, product category, tracking ID, destination URL, source page, referrer, browser user-agent string, country code supplied by the hosting platform, and timestamp. The redirect logger does not intentionally store IP addresses or set cookies. Missing or external referrers, non-guide sources, HEAD probes, and recognized automated clients are excluded from verified click counts.

These records are used to measure aggregate link usefulness, diagnose broken destinations, and maintain the product catalog. They are not combined by the site operator into named customer accounts.

Third parties

Google processes analytics data under Google’s privacy policy. If you follow an affiliate link, Amazon receives the normal information your browser sends when visiting Amazon and may associate qualifying purchases with this site’s Associates tag.
